In itSMF Japan, working groups are established for several purposes, such as for studying or researching new technologies and enhancing or organizing existing technologies in IT Service Management. Each working group selects a theme related to ITIL®, which is a collection of best practices in IT Service Management, and each group is managed by itSMF Japan members. Working group activity details and results are reported at itSMF Japan seminars and conferences.
 How to join a working group
When a new working group is established, itSMF Japan members are notified via e-mail, and an advertisement for recruiting new members is posted on the itSMF Japan web site. For existing working groups, new members are recruited whenever a vacancy occurs due to membership cancellations or for other reasons. For information regarding vacancies, please contact the administrations office.
